Sustainable food systems must be developed and implemented to improve the food situation in Kenya. Research on agriculture and food plays a crucial role in improving food systems and nutrition. To enhance research in Food and Nutrition  Security, NRF intends to fund proposals for research projects with the potential to provide solutions to improve income generation, nutrition, and access to food for disadvantaged populations, promote sustainable agriculture and sustainable food systems, as well as promote the competitiveness of Kenyan agricultural products.  

Concept notes should be submitted electronically to grants@researchfund.go.ke by Friday, 31st March 2023.

Only successful applicants will be invited to submit full proposals.
